Fresco Environmental have been running a successful polythene collection service since the beginning of July 2015. A lot of companies end up over filling their waste containers unnecessarily. By utilising the free waste consultation that Fresco Environmental offer existing, new and prospective customers innovative ways to reduce their waste bills and assist with waste segregation. Fresco Environmental also offer customers free ‘Tool Box Talks’ and training to assist companies on ensuring that processes are streamlined and new introduced waste processes are successful.
To ensure that commercial and industrial customers fully understand the waste segregation requirement, Fresco Environmental with its consultative approach ensures that its customers are ticking the right boxes to comply with this legislation. As per the Department for Environment, Food and Rural affairs, these duties apply where separate collection is necessary to ensure that waste undergoes recovery operations in accordance with the directive and to facilitate or improve recovery; and where it is technically, environmentally and economically practicable. The duties apply to waste classified as waste from households and waste that is classified as commercial or industrial waste. The amended regulations also replaced regulation 14(2) to reflect the changes to regulation 13 to ensure a consistent approach. Consequential changes are also made to reflect changes in paragraph numbering in the new regulation 13 (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/waste-legislation-and-regulations).
Many companies are now either ISO accredited or looking to become ISO accredited (including ISO 14001). ISO accreditation is important especially when businesses want to demonstrate that they are working towards greener waste segregation methodologies or even forms part of many tender requirements when pitching for new or existing business. Again, Fresco Environmental assists it’s customers with the Financial, Environmental, performance and safety reports (FEPS) which are ISO standard and include finite detail waste reports.
